Dr Eric is originally from Montreal, Canada where he received a bachelor's degree in Phsyiology from McGill University. He graduated from the Swedish Institute of New York City in 1990 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist. He is certified in Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT Rx), Advanced Rolfing, Active Release Techniques (ART), Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Graston Techniques, Kinesio-Taping, Deep-Tissue, Medical Massage, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Shiatsu, and Advanced Muscle Reconditioning (AMR).
Dr Eric started his Rolfing training at the Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO and continued in Sydney, Australia in 2004. A few years later he went back to Boulder, CO to get his Advanced Rolfing certification. He is the only Rolfer in Southern California that is also a doctor.
He became certified in Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) in 2006. Since then he has gone through the Masters and MAT Rx training. There are only a handful of MAT Rx specialists in Southern California and he is the only doctor.
In 2009, Dr Eric attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles and graduated in 2012. He he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the Valedictorian of his class. He was also the tutor for a few of the anatomy classes in the cadaver lab, which opened his eyes further to the complexity of the human body.
He is currently studying Functional Medicine. Doing body work has been a life-long passion of Dr Steibl and he has now been in practice over 34 years, and continues his education.
